A virtual business address in Serbia: company registration and mail handling with RICS Consulting

A remote business does not always need a separate office. But its registered address must serve a real purpose: the company receives mail, learns about requirements on time and retains access to documents. Choosing this service solely by its monthly price is risky.

A virtual address is a commercial term for providing an address and agreed mail services. It does not become your place of residence or replace registration of a foreign national’s stay. If you are also applying for residence, plan the two issues separately.

Before applying to APR, check the exact street, locality and building number against the address register. A mismatch between the application and formation documents can stop registration. The no-number format ‘bb’ cannot be used instead of an assigned number.

• Who receives ordinary and registered mail and how receipt is recorded.
• How quickly you are notified of a letter and sent its scan.
• Where originals are stored, who may collect them and how much forwarding costs.
• What happens if the address changes, the contract ends or the responsible person is unavailable.

Determine separately who monitors electronic accounts. Scanning paper mail does not automatically include monitoring electronic notices from the tax authority and other bodies.

A shop, salon, warehouse or production business may need physical premises suitable for its activity. A postal address does not replace requirements for the workplace, equipment and permits. If you need to meet clients, clarify in advance whether the chosen service includes a meeting room or workspace.

For an existing company, an address change must be coordinated with registration actions, bank notifications and document updates. Simply starting to put the new address on invoices is not enough.

Send a description of your activity, business form and expected mail volume. We will check a suitable arrangement, agree terms with the provider and include the address in the registration or change plan. The estimate will separately show the recurring fee, additional mail operations and our work.

Before the service starts, you will know who is responsible for each notice and how to obtain an original document while outside Serbia.

A good address service is measured by how reliably important information reaches you, rather than the prestige of the street. Agree this process before the first letter arrives.
