The bank account is open and the first client is ready to pay. Now it is important to record the transaction correctly and understand the obligations. Good support gives the owner a clear answer: which documents to provide, how much to pay, when and why.

The scope of accounting depends on the business

A lump-sum-taxed sole trader, a sole trader keeping books and a DOO require different processes. Employees, sales to individuals, foreign payments, VAT, stock and electronic invoices add further requirements. A price without a description of transactions therefore says little about the actual scope of service.

Lump-sum tax is not the same for everyone. The official calculator uses the activity, municipality, zone, insurance basis and other parameters. Its result is a preliminary estimate, not a substitute for a tax authority decision.

What to prepare when getting started

  • Registration details, current tax decisions and information about the tax regime.
  • A list of accounts, bank statements and the latest reports if the business is already operating.
  • Examples of contracts and issued or received invoices.
  • Information on employees, payments to the director and recurring costs.
  • Client countries, payment methods and the expected transaction volume.

When changing accountants, we will separately agree the handover date, balances, filed returns and unresolved matters. Access to electronic services is arranged through appropriate authorisations; you do not need to share personal passwords.

What clear monthly support looks like

  1. You provide documents in the agreed format by the specified date.
  2. We check the package and request missing items in advance.
  3. We prepare calculations and payment instructions: recipient, amount, purpose and deadline.
  4. We submit the required reports within the agreed authority.
  5. We notify you of important changes and issues requiring the owner’s decision.

Cash received, revenue and profit are different measures. For international services, the place of supply and the transaction’s tax treatment are checked separately; having a foreign client does not automatically mean no tax is due.

Price and scope of support

Basic support for a sole trader starts at EUR 50 per month. For a DOO, employees, VAT and a high volume of documents, the scope and price are calculated separately. The proposal should identify the included transactions, reporting, payroll tasks and arrangements for additional work.

Taxes and contributions are not included in the accountant’s fee. We will help prepare a calendar and budget of obligations so that you can plan cash in advance and understand each amount.

Comment from RICS Consulting

The most useful outcome of accounting for an owner is not a folder of reports, but a manageable process: clear payments, orderly documents and warning of significant changes before action is due.
